Careers
We're not just a regular employer.
If you’re the type who gets satisfaction from fixing things properly and doing a job well, then this might be for you.
Based: Oxford/Abingdon area
Start: April/May 2026
Who we are: We service and repair indoor rowing, bike & ski machines (mainly Concept2) for everyone from Olympic training centres to small rowing clubs, schools, universities and PT/Hyrox/CrossFit gyms nationwide. When people need the best, they call us.
The role: You’ll be travelling around the UK servicing and repairing Concept2 ergs. Some days you’re at an Olympic training centre or a school in Bristol, next day you might be at a gym in Manchester. You’ll diagnose problems, strip machines down, rebuild them, and make sure they’re running perfectly. It’s hands-on, it’s problem-solving, and it’s different every day. It takes time to learn properly – this is specialised work – but once you know it, you really know it.
What you need:
- Some mechanical or hands-on experience (cars, bikes, machinery – anything that shows you can work with tools)
- Full UK clean driving licence
- Flexible with hours and days – we go where the work is
- Available minimum 35 hours/week
- Someone looking for a career, not just a job – training is extensive and takes months
Compensation:
- £12.75/hour starting rate (probation period), increasing after
- Every hour is paid – work, travel, even sitting in the van between jobs (most places don’t pay travel time)
- Your rate goes up as you develop skills and can handle more work independently
- Overtime is regularly available if you want more hours
- Schedule varies week to week – could be 3x 12-hour days or 5x 6-hour days or anything in between, typically over 4-5 days
What makes this job different: The variety. You’re constantly on the move, meeting new people, working in incredible places. Some of our clients are Olympic athletes. You’re not sat in a workshop doing the same thing every day. Real earning potential once you’re trained up and taking on more responsibility.
The standard. We’re dominant in our market because we do things properly. You’ll be pushed to be good at what you do, but it’s worth it.
The team. We’re a small outfit that has fun while maintaining high standards. Most of our team are ex-professional athletes, but not all – what matters is attitude and character.
The progression. This is a long-term opportunity. As you get better, you earn more and take on more responsibility. We invest heavily in training, so we’re looking for someone who wants to grow with us.
Ideal for: Someone who naturally likes solving problems, enjoys being good at things, and wants to work in an environment where quality matters. If you’re competitive with yourself and like the idea of mastering something specialised, this is a great opportunity.
This isn’t for everyone: If you want 9-5 desk work, this isn’t it. But if you want to travel around, work with your hands, and be part of a team that’s the best at what they do – let’s talk.
